Thousands of taxi drivers in Bogota protested unfair competition from online taxi app Uber on Wednesday. A caravan of the distinctive yellow taxis drove slowly through the city’s streets bringing traffic to a standstill. Out of the 52000 taxis in the capital, the National Taxi Drivers’ Round Table estimated that 10000 took part in the event.
